Keep it fun, keep it fair.
These rules apply everywhere: in-game, in Discord, and on community spaces. Be respectful, safe, and considerate.
Toxicity, harassment, racism/racial slurs, sexism, or any form of hate speech is strictly prohibited. This includes private messages. Everyone shall be treated equally. Block/report if needed.
No flashing emojis/images, IP grabbers, suspicious media, abusive nicknames, jump scares, or other disturbing content. Punishments depend on severity.
Do not spam. Avoid excessive messages, images, formatting, emoji, commands, and @mentions across both Discord and the server.
Personal arguments and drama don't belong in public spaces. Constructive debates are okay, but name-calling, discrimination, and personal attacks are not.
No advertising other communities/servers or content that conflicts with Aetheria's interests unless explicitly allowed by staff.
No politics, religion, wars, divisive events, or drugs in community spaces. Keep things focused on play and building.
Do not attempt to find loopholes, evade bans, or use alternate accounts to bypass rules.
Rules specific to our Discord community. General rules above still apply.
Do not ping @Developer unless absolutely necessary (critical bug or no moderators available). Impersonating staff or other members is not allowed.
Staff actions should be discussed in DMs only. If you see rule-breaking — report it, don't respond in public. If you have an issue with staff, contact @zoephix. Avoid spamming DMs.
Post in the most appropriate channel. For example, general Aetheria chat belongs in #smp-general. If staff asks you to move, please comply.
Ask staff before posting anything potentially inappropriate, NSFW, or controversial. When in doubt, check with staff.
Do not take, modify, or use another player's builds or items without their clear permission — via chat, sign, or other obvious signal. Every action is logged; misuse can be rolled back instantly.
Using software or tools to gain unfair advantages is not allowed. This includes flight, x-ray, easy place, and other actions normally impossible.
Allowed modifications:
Using unintended bugs or exploits for gain is prohibited. Do not use F3 coordinates to find caves or dungeons — it counts as x-ray.
Avoid building over or interfering with another player's area without permission. Floating or large builds should be in unclaimed space.
Bridges and supports may go over builds if they don’t disrupt them.
If you fail to mark your construction, neighboring players are not at fault, and staff may not intervene to protect your unmarked build.
No politics, religion, wars, divisive events, or drugs. Aetheria is a place to play, build, and enjoy the game.
Although we use a claim plugin, players are not required to claim their land. Unclaimed areas are not free-for-all—do not grief or destroy other players’ creations.
For large projects, make your plans obvious (signs, visible borders). so others know the area is being developed. If you fail to mark your construction, staff may not intervene to protect it.
All general rules apply both in-game and in Discord. All actions are logged. Report violations in the Discord server.
Breaking these rules may result in a warning, kick, or ban depending on the severity.
